With our London hometown playing host to the world next week, one of the delegations we’ll be keeping our eyes on the Brazilians. Besides the fact that we’ll be handing over the Olympic mantle to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Games, also feeling pumped about the Brazilian Olympic Committee Exhibition of Contemporary Art and Design, currently on show at Somerset House.
Staged at Somerset House’s Embankment Galleries and curated by Art Historian Rafael Cardoso, the Exhibition presents the works of 33 Artists and Designers, including the structural wooden furniture pieces of Claudia Moreira Salles, the op-art Installations of Regina Silveira and the refined Art Ceramics of Gilberto Paim and Elizabeth Fonseca.
